Thanks for covering this abomination, and more importantly for putting the time in to actually play the game before blogging. While I appreciate and support *almost* any attempts to drop the taboo of females in gaming, especially at a young age, I think this calculated attempt at teaching popularity tricks is destructive and poorly thought out. If the game companies want to earn the long term coin from female gamers, why teach them that everything is a fad that will eventually become uncool? How long will the sheep they are creating think that gaming is cool before they move their allowance to something else? I realize that it is a financial gain that the gaming companies want, however the SUSTAINABLE dollar is what should motivate them. Not the quick grab aimed at fans of "The Hills" or whatever Paris Hilton wannabe clique is currently popular. *grumble* Gah, that’s horrifying. Months ago I decided to incorporate indoor walking at my job, it's a huge building which helps immensely. I walk during my 15 minute breaks and my lunch half hour. Also, I'm on the fourth floor so I do the stairs constantly when running errands. I'm easily doing 12-15k steps per day now, it really adds up quickly. When I have to skip a walking break, I find an empty office and walk in place until I have to stop due to a ringing phone. Your solution makes total sense for a Tech Goddess like yourself, and I know that you will be in the shape you crave in no time! You are one of the most honest and sincere people I've ever met, so I know you don't make this plan lightly. Just know that I'm here for you to cheer you on! Go Jett, go!!!!!!!! Yay, sweetie!
